Scout Camps Help Develop the Leaders of Tomorrow
This past summer, Nova Ukraine provided full-ride scholarships for 180 children to attend Plast Ukraine summer camps, where children ages 2-18 participated in outdoor adventures. They learned practical skills such as first aid, cooking over campfires, and navigating wilderness trails, and many gained experience leading their own squads.
Updates from Facebook
With civilian casualties rising and renewed attacks on energy infrastructure, Ukraine faces another winter under extraordinary pressure.
Across the country, Ukrainians are already preparing, repairing critical infrastructure, and working to keep essential services running. Nova Ukraine is working alongside local partners to support those efforts.
But preparation requires resources, and continued international support matters.
Don't let knowing be where it ends. Donate, share, and keep Ukraine in the conversation.

Every time an air raid siren sounds, children at schools and educational centers must go to a shelter.
For one of the Zmistovno Children's Centers, a Nova Ukraine project, supported by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the nearest shelter is a metro station.
*Zmistovno Children's Centers help children catch up on learning disrupted by war. Kids develop skills in IT, robotics, languages, and creative fields. They rebuild social connections and adapt to new communities after displacement. There are 53 centers nationwide. Since 2023, Zmistovno sites have welcomed more than 2 million kids.

Her experience, shared in our earlier story When the Pain Becomes a Part of You, reflects a challenge faced by veteran support specialists across Ukraine: caring for others while struggling to find the time and space to care for themselves.
Now, all 60 specialists from 37 communities across Volyn Oblast have completed the three-stage pilot program.
Over 44 hours of training, participants developed practical tools to prevent burnout, navigate difficult situations, and strengthen their ability to support veterans and their families.
With the pilot complete, Nova Ukraine and its partners are evaluating the results and exploring how this approach could support specialists in other regions.

This school in the Chernihiv region is now operating on solar panels that can power the main building, boiler room, and shelter.
Last year, constant power outages caused by Russian missile strikes forced the school to switch to online learning, as its generator couldn’t handle the load.

For emergency responders working at heights, every rope, harness, and carabiner plays a critical role in keeping them safe.
That’s why Nova Ukraine provided specialized rope rescue equipment to State Emergency Service (DSNS) teams in Ukraine’s Kirovohrad region. The delivery includes harnesses, helmets, ropes, carabiners, descent devices, and other essential gear designed for challenging rescue operations.
The work is already dangerous. The equipment should make it safer.
These rescuers put themselves in difficult situations to help others. We're proud to make sure they have more of the tools they need to protect themselves along the way.
